ICAN participating in Indianapolis Gives

The Indiana Canine Assistant Network (ICAN) is excited to participate in the inaugural Indianapolis Gives campaign, a 10-day online giving challenge hosted by Indianapolis Monthly magazine and sponsored by Eli Lilly and Company.

This friendly fundraising competition aims to help local charities raise awareness of their missions while also generating funds for the nonprofits. Each participating organization will compete to raise the most money, with the top teams winning cash prizes from Indianapolis Monthly.

The challenge runs from Monday, December 2, at 5 p.m. EST, to Thursday, December 12, at 5 p.m. EST, and ICAN is among nearly 100 local nonprofits competing for the grand prizes!

Prizes will be awarded to the top five organizations that raise the most money online through indianapolisgives.org.

ICAN’s unique URL can be found here. To be counted for the challenge, gifts must be made through the specialty online giving site.

An organization must have at least ten unique donors to be eligible for a grand prize. The distribution of the grand prizes is as follows:

• 1st: $15,000

• 2nd: $12,000

• 3rd: $10,000

• 4th: $8,000

• 5th: $5,000

Additionally, there are daily competitions that provide nonprofits with opportunities to win more prizes, including:

• December 3: The organization that raises the most money on #GivingTuesday will win $2,000, and the second highest will receive $1,000.

• December 4: The two organizations with the most unique donors will each receive a $1,500 prize.

• December 5: The top two organizations raising the most money online will each win $1,000 and two tickets to Indianapolis Monthly's Savor event.

• December 6-9: The two organizations with the highest total raised during this period will each win $500 plus a full-page advertisement in Indianapolis Monthly.

• December 10: The two organizations raising the most money on this day will each win $1,500.

• December 11: The two organizations with the highest online fundraising will each win $1,000 in cash and $1,000 in digital ad spend on IndianapolisMonthly.com.
